Monazite-ce Rare Texas Specimen!
Burnet County, Texas
Franklin Roberts, of Austin Texas, having some serious luck with a bit of skill and knowledge, finding some amazing things in the pegmatites of the Llano Uplift. The samples of Monazite-ce are a FIRST for Texas and not too shabby at all! Nice large xtls with crude broad faces.
My favorite crystal from the group, great form on the terminated sides, with cleaved top and bottom, showing the gemmy brown interior. Nicely rounded example from this exciting new find!3.7 x 2.6 x 1.3 cm
