Franklin Roberts, of Austin Texas, having some serious luck with a bit of skill and knowledge, finding some amazing things in the pegmatites of the Llano Uplift. The samples of Monazite-ce are a FIRST for Texas and not too shabby at all! Nice large xtls with crude broad faces.
This specimen is certainly cleaved, but shows the inside, revealing a crazy gemmy-like quality to it. Facinating Texas Radioactive!
